How many kids are in a group?
Up to 6, at least 4. In a small group every child speaks in every lesson.
What do kids learn?
The foundation of our lessons is Cyrillic, a script kids rarely see in everyday life, so we practise reading and writing in Cyrillic a lot. Kids who already speak Serbian practise conversation, build better sentences and learn grammar. Along the way they get to know Serbian culture and customs in real time, tied to the holidays they're living right now where they grow up.
My child doesn't speak Serbian. Can they join?
Groups are formed by level, so every child joins kids with similar Serbian. Individual lessons are fully adapted to your child's needs and pace, so we choose the right fit together at the free lesson.
Latin or Cyrillic?
Cyrillic first (printed letters), because it is the foundation of our lessons. Latin comes later.
Does a parent need to be there?
For kids under 7, please stay nearby.
Which time zones?
US Eastern, Central and Pacific time, as well as European time zones, all after school.
How much does it cost?
An individual 45-minute lesson is $35, and a 10-lesson pack is $295. A small group once a week is $100 a month, and the intensive group twice a week is $170 a month. See everything on the pricing page.
How do I pay?
By card through Stripe. Groups are billed monthly; individual lessons one at a time or as a pack. Zelle on request. Receipts arrive by email.
Is there a registration fee? How do I cancel?
No registration fee. Cancel with 30 days' notice.
Are there sibling discounts?
15% off for a second child, 25% off for a third.
What is the free lesson?
