# Srpski od srca

> Online Serbian school for children of the diaspora: live Zoom lessons built on reading and writing in Cyrillic, plus conversation, grammar and Serbian customs tied to the holidays kids are living. Individual lessons or small groups of up to 6, after school in US Eastern, Central and Pacific time and European time zones. The 30-minute intro lesson is free.

- Srpski od srca is an online Serbian school for children of the diaspora, taught live on Zoom by Teacher Dušica, a Belgrade philology graduate who since 2023 has helped diaspora families keep the Serbian language and culture alive and teaches at the Serbian school in Boston.
- The foundation of every lesson is Cyrillic: reading and writing in the script kids rarely see in everyday life.
- Kids who already speak Serbian practise conversation, build better sentences and learn grammar.
- Serbian culture and customs in real time, tied to the holidays currently happening where the child lives (Slava, Božić, Sveti Sava, Vaskrs, plus Halloween and Thanksgiving).
- Three formats: Individual lessons (Schedule that fits you): Lessons fully adapted to your child's needs and pace. We set the schedule around what works for you. Small group, once a week (One 45-minute lesson a week): Up to 6 kids matched by level. One lesson a week in a steady rhythm, so every child speaks in every lesson. Small group intensive, twice a week (Two 45-minute lessons a week): The same small group matched by level, but twice a week, for faster progress.
- What we work on: We learn the Cyrillic letters, and with them Serbian words and concepts. With younger kids we work through songs, puppets and games. We practise reading and writing in Cyrillic. We practise pronouncing Serbian words. We practise the situations kids really need when they visit Serbia or talk with family and friends from Serbia, and the words they truly need to speak. Lessons are 45 minutes, taught through play.
- Individual lessons, or small groups of up to 6 kids matched by level (a group opens with at least 4 kids), once or twice a week.
- Lessons are after school, scheduled in US Eastern, Central and Pacific time, as well as European time zones.
- The 30-minute intro lesson is always free.
- Groups start on November 1, 2026.

- Small group, once a week: $100 / month
- Small group intensive, twice a week: $170 / month
- Individual lesson: $35 per 45-minute lesson
- Individual, 10-lesson pack: $295 for 10 lessons
- Siblings: 15% off for a second child, 25% off for a third.
- No registration fee; cancel with 30 days' notice.
